Dr. Aaron is the newest member in a multi-generation legacy of optometrists. In 2008, he followed his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather in becoming a doctor of optometry.
A native of Rancho San Diego, Dr. Aaron enjoys living and working in this close-knit community. He graduated from Valhalla High School and studied at San Diego State before earning his doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry. His extensive training encompassed all aspects of optometric care including vision therapy.
His passion is working with children and it shows on the faces of all the young patients who see him. Dr. Aaron is fluent in Spanish and is available for appointments Monday through Friday.
Outside of the office, Dr. Aaron has a history of being involved with youth sports (wrestling, soccer, baseball, triathlons) and enjoys coaching his children’s teams. He is also an avid runner and triathlete, so feel free to honk and wave hi if you see him running or bicycling along the road.

Everything about Werner Optometry is five star, the doctors are caring and explain each procedure during the exam, I have never had a better understanding concerning the health of my eyes. Every facet of my visit is always a pleasant experience, courteous and friendly attention from beginning to end. My whole family ages seventy five to ten are patents here, a few travel from OC to see Dr's Rex, Aaron & Courtney. Check out their website..Werner Optometry.
Great service, through in explanation to ensure understanding of procedures and evaluations. Great place, great staff, what more could you want from an optometrist?
Our family has seen Dr. Rex and Dr. Aaron for several years. They are excellent optometrists: knowledgable, caring and professional. My son had vision therapy with Dr. Aaron which helped him tremendously. I highly recommend this this practice to anyone seeking excellent vision care. They are the best!
Very pleased with Werner Optometry. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by the receptionists, and was made to feel at home. I was taken to the back for my exam by the technician within 5 minutes of my arrival. She was very thorough, informative, and took the time to hear my concerns and answer my questions. Dr. Aaron was also very thorough, kind, and explained my eye issues thoroughly. It was nice not feeling rushed or silly for asking questions during my exam. Dr. Aaron also noted that once I receive my prescription, I could come back with any questions or concerns, if necessary. I would highly recommend this office for your optical needs.
I met Dr. Werner 11 years ago after I had moved here from Chicago. I was upset because of the state of my eyes and I was NOT the best patient. But Dr. Werner was VERY calming, informative, patient, experienced, caring and soothing so that his behavior calmed my spirit. Ever since then I have going to Dr. Werner with confidence. He and his staff are GREAT! I have recommended many of my church members to his office when they are working with complicated eye situations.
Very friendly service and a great atmosphere! I have always loved coming here when I need a good pair of prescription shades. Dr. Aaron Werner really does go above and beyond to connect with his patients. The staff really are an efficient bunch too! Came in recently to get my frames adjusted and was in and out in 10 minutes.
I absolutely love this optometrist. When I first called the office I wanted to try on a couple pairs of Spy glasses. Knowing that they didn't carry every pair I was interested in, the main receptionist/technician (I think her name is Julia) let me know that the Spy rep was coming in the next morning and I could come try on all the pairs I wanted. I left work and showed up at 10 am and after about 15 minutes Julia called to determine where the rep was. Turns out that the rep who was supposed to be coming quit and no one at Spy notified the new rep of the appointment. So instead of being completely disappointed by the waste of time and gas money, Julia saved the day and said she would order each pair for me so I could try them out, knowing that I would only be able to purchase one pair. This kind of above and beyond service is something you rarely experience. Also, when I went in for my actual check-up both the technician and the doctor were dolls. They were both very friendly and funny. The optometrist actually explained to me what I was looking at in the "back of my eye" pictures. Lastly, the office is bright and clean and they have a good selection of glasses. There is a whole case of Dolce and Gabana, Spy, and RayBan. Don't go anywhere else or you are a fool :)
