Alexa Gonzalez, L.Ac. MSTOM- is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. She has a Master’s of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Alexa was born in San Diego but is from Mexican origin, and is fluent in Spanish and English.
While completing her four-year Master’s Degree program and internship at PCOM, she was also a clinical intern at Rady’s Children’s Hospital, UCSD RIMAC Center, and SD Downtown Free Senior clinic.
Alexa’s experience includes, treating a variety of ailments, from the flu, chronic or acute pains, and emotional disorders to women’s health issues and side effects associated with cancer, amongst others illnesses.
Her focus is on women´s health (PMS, infertility, pregnancy and menopause), facial rejuvenation, pain management, emotional disorders and cancer treatment´s side effects with the use of acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, and other ancient modalities. Her acupuncture treatments are safe, gentle, and best of all, effective in treating many common ailments.
Alexa continues to pursue advanced training in Chinese medicine annually by attending various education seminars and courses.
Alexa has also had the privilege to volunteer with the Global Acupuncture Project in Oaxaca as a trainer, and hopes to continue supporting the cause, because she firmly believes that it is important to empower communities to strengthen their own well-being.
