I help my clients using a range of cognitive behavioral techniques to treat issues ranging from: anxiety and depression, stress management, marital strife, family, child and adolescent behaviors, and parent education, among others. When working with children and teenagers, I like to help them understand why their negative behaviors are not helpful in achieving what they want in their lives. In a nurturing and supportive atmosphere, I teach them to make better choices, by improving their coping skills and communication. This technique helps them to think first prior to acting on their impulses.
In marital therapy, I use a systematic approach which helps couples achieve emotional intimacy and peace. Solution-focused techniques are used to help resolve conflicts and improve the marital relationship. My goal is to see couples leave my office with the tools to rediscover themselves and rejuvenate their marriage.
Within a nurturing environment, I hope to guide my clients to a better understanding of themselves, while offering insight into ways in which they can overcome the unique challenges they face.
