Jocelyn Joy has been a practitioner of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine since 2002. She has since received her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, a designation limited to only a few hundred scholars in the United States.
Her passion for helping those with Cancer and Chronic Illness arose from her experience helping her father and a good friend recover from the effects of chemotherapy and radiation. She has completed advanced study with Memorial Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center and continues to successfully help many others in her practice each and every day.

Jocelyn is an amazing practitioner. Coming into the office you can immediately feel the difference between Eastern and Western medicine. I felt like my problems were being personally attended to; and the practitioner and I were on the same page (which I feel is a lost art in the world today) Honestly, having needles put in your body can seem like a scary thing (I'm not a big fan of even getting my blood drawn) But I didn't even realize how thin these needles are (thinner than a strand of hair) - and I did not feel any pain the whole treatment. As far as the treatment went (I went to her for anxiety); although the treatment doesn't have as strong effect as some of the Western meds, (such as Xanax) I definitely feel a change throughout my day and its nice to know my body is capable of fixing itself. Definitely coming back for more treatments and looking into her club joy program to save some $ ! :)

When my nagging wrist problems came back, I knew it was time to get treatments. Since I grew up in Asia & was familiar with acupuncture treatments & how it can help relieve pain without side effects, acupuncture was a natural treatment choice for me. I am very glad that I found Jocelyn at Joy Acupuncture Health Centre. Her treatments are very gentle, I hardly felt the needles and after just one treatment, my wrists now feel much better. I will continue my treatments with Jocelyn and for anyone seeking an alternative health care, I highly recommend the Joy Acupuncture Health Center.

My husband and I both have been going to Jocelyn for years, and with good reason. She has treated our back issues, neck issues, stress and anxiety issues, sinus problems, and so many more I can't even recall them all. But we always leave feeling much better than when we came in! I even go in when nothing is wrong for an immune boost, especially if I am feeling rundown. And, Jocelyn is very warm, friendly and funny! Try it!

I am a huge fan and believer of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine...I guess some might call it alternative medicine..., but I'm Chinese...so not so alternative for me! I was recommended to come to Joy Acupuncture by a friend because I was in the Banker's Hill area and I suddenly had an strange stomach cramp?! I'm rarely come down to San Diego, but was I glad that Jocelyn was able to fit me in for an acupuncture treatment within a couple of hours. The clinic is very cute and relaxing. After my acupuncture treatment, the stomach cramps were gone in 30 minutes...I think it was due to stress! If you are looking for reliable and relaxing acupuncture clinic in the San Diego (Banker's Hill) area. Joy Acupuncture is the place to go...she's an amazing acupuncturist! Not only is she amazing...she is so funny and made me feel so comfortable!
