Rebecca Luna is in the process of obtaining her doctorate degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis on integrative psychology at Alliant International University. She is a registered psychological assistant who is offering low cost psychological services at New Mindful Life in San Diego, CA.
Through her training at Sharp Rehabilitation Center and UCSD family medicine, she has worked extensively with individuals who struggle with chronic pain, anxiety, trauma, and emotional imbalances. She is well trained in utilizing biofeedback therapy as a tool to guide others towards connecting both mind and body. She has also received training in expressive arts therapy and has lead self-compassion and mindfulness based group therapy.
Rebecca's approach to therapy is to view each individuals unique needs from a holistic perspective and to integrate both western and eastern methods of healing. These methods include mindfulness based interventions, body awareness through movement, sound healing, creative expression, lifestyle modification, and attachment based theory as well. Her belief is that through the exploration of the self, the individual will develop his or her innate healing capabilities. This exploration is done in a safe, supportive environment that lends to regaining balance in ones life.
