At age 22, I immigrated to San Diego from Germany knowing this would be my home. I obtained a Business Degree from Point Loma Nazarene in 1992, and went to work in the corporate world of finances and investment. While very lucrative, this did not quite satisfy my desire to be of service to my community. I continued my studies at San Diego State University and received a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2004. I soon also obtained a Waldorf Teaching Certificate from the Rudolf Steiner College in Sacramento. I taught KG to high school which greatly added to my understanding of the maturation process that kids endure mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically on the road to adulthood.
More recently I have worked with individuals and their families around substance use, mild to severe mental health issues, life stage changes, life skills and coaching. This work proved very rewarding to me as I was witness to the immense strengths that my clients brought forward in order to change their lives. I am grateful and honored to participate and support them during this metamorphosis. With love for my clients and my work, I look forward to my every day of potential growth and relationship building.
