Courteous and friendly staff and service. Clean environment and COVID-19 protocols followed. Optometrist answered my questions and explained all procedures before they were done. Nice frames, however, glasses run on the pricier side. Overall a good experience.

Thanks to the knowledge of their staff my husband was able to saved the vision of his right eye. They found a tear in the retain and we’re able to act quickly before something worse might happen. I went in for my first prescription after 48yrs of having 20/20 vision. The staff was extremely helpful and honest, which was refreshing. They allowed me to spend time trying on different frames and although I spent about 45 mins to an hr. there on that very first day and I did not fill my prescription at that time. They were genuinely patient. The were not trying to tell me what they thought I wanted to hear when I asked there opinions on how I looked. They gave me insight, and comfort to any all questions and concerns I had. I came back the next day ultimately had my prescription filled. I would highly recommend this place. I will continue to be a dedicated customer in the future.

Eye exam was very thorough. Beats my previous optometrist by a long shot. The fish tank is overstocked and is overrun with cyanobacteria so minus a star for that.

The staff was very friendly and was very helpful finding out if they took my insurance. I was pleased with the suggestions and response to all my questions while picking my glasses. I was notified pretty quickly when they were ready via text. Picking them up was a few minutes process. I would definitely do more business with American Vision and recommend them to my friends. I am from neighborhood and I stop by at this store for vision glasses frame repair ,girl she was very nice polite and kind then technician came out and together made it happen all my requested repair was done in spot, they replace my frame and they install my lenses and I can highly recommend anyone to this place that needed vision glasses or any repair done

The minute my wife & I walked in we noticed something....genius smiles & attentiveness to questions,concerns & needs. I'm 50+ & this is the 1st time I put a pair of glasses & literally say,"omg!,crystal clear!". No adjustment needed! The optometrist was great! She then went as far as to say if the drive was too far out for us,she could have me pick up my glasees in Lynbrook when ready....I said sure!(closer to home) My wife picked up my glasses 5 days later in Lynbrook & she was disappointed w/the Asian lady that assisted her. She had NO personality,stand offish & totally not a ppl person! Although they work together(Bayside & Lynbrook),we would drive out to Bayside for the quality,dedication & a genuine smile which goes a long way!

American vision center of Bayside has been my place for all things contacts and glasses for just over 20 years. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and always looking for ways to get you what you need. The eye care professionals that work there are experts in their field, and have always been patient and friendly when working with me. I highly recommended American vision center (at either of their locations) to be your go-to place for your eye care needs.

I brought my 10yr old in for his exam, while in with the Dr. and my son, the front office staff kept my youngest child occupied and was AMAZING with her. They were patient and attentive. Dr. D explained everything step by step to my son duringvthe examination, making him very comfortable. I also had to chose a frame for myself and the staff was great in handling the entire family. I highly recommend them.

American Vision did a great job! My husband lost his glasses while in the hospital. It was very urgent that he get new glasses as he cannot see at all without them. He could not get to the store as he was in the hospital. American Vision obtained all the info from his doctor and quickly made him a new pair which are perfect!! The fellow that I dealt with, Eddie was great he had a lot of patience with me. I am not the easiest person to deal with. I was disappointed with my glasses, not the fault of the American Vision by of the eye dr who gave me the prescription, and Eddie tried his best to help me.

Awesome latest frame styles. The technicians/employees give good feedback if a particular frame does not fit well. I always get honest, professional help, courteous and friendly customer service, especially from Eddie the Technician. I will keep going back. And may I add that I pay out of pocket due to my PBA insurance is not accepted, I rather pay out of pocket and get nice frames and good services.

I had a wonderful experience! The eye eximanation was thorough and informative. In the past using my VSP plan meant not being able to get a decent pair of glasses. However, I was able to get a high end pair that were a perfect fit thanks to their staff being so engaged. In addition, they make repair services available (for nominal fee) to thier customers and I was able to hand them a broken pair of glassses to fix. So, I got a new pair of stylish glasses and I have a back-up pair in case anything happens to my new ones!
