I am 91 years old and have limited my exposure due to Coved 19. Access to the office was easy and safe. My wait time was minimal. Everyone wore masks and was efficient and courteous. Dr. Carry was very professional and kind and gave me confidence in his decisions.

Very friendly and clean office. No waiting time, new professional equipments. Doctors are thoughtful.

Unusually long delay of a out an hour after first person saw me. In part it was the arrival of engelman's eval was not received but that was known when I first arrived. it still took 45 minutes for Dr. Carey to stop in after initial person saw me. Then a long wait to get eval.

It was good, sorry if the first click didn't show that, or it went further prematurely, sometimes I am not proficient enough with the computer. Again, it was good.

My meetings that carry vision are always pleasant and productive

I have been going to Dr. Carey et al. for several years. Sometimes the wait time seems excessively long. Yesterday, however, things went smoothly and my wait time for the doctor was relatively short--about 15 minutes. That is after all the prelim scans, etc with the tech(s) who do the vision tests, etc. I realize that it is difficult to predict how long each appointment will take, because there is no telling what may happen with patients. However, when I have to wait 45 minutes or more to finish an appointment it seems excessive. I do think the volume of patients is a good sign and speaks well of the doctors.

Professional/ Dr Carey knows his trade+ seems to be up to date regarding diagnostics + assessments. Very clean+ disinfect each time. DR Carey always answers all my questions without my feeling dumb for asking. He is very professional + I appreciate that fact. The others + office staff are helpful + pleasant. Thank you Nd. Riester

The service is excellent, staff very polite. I have bee seeing Dr. Carey for several years. The only complaint is the amount of wait time to see the doctor. I always plan for at least 2 hours. Whoever does the scheduling needs to take some courses on scheduling doctors.

Great staff as always. I was pressed for time, had to get to work for an important meeting, and Dr. Carey & crew came to the rescue to get me right out of there. Very long-time customer, over 20 years.

The time I spent waiting for Dr. Carey to see me after the technician finished testing was about 45 mins. to an hour. This has happened several times. I feel this is excessively long. The staff is very pleasant and helpful particularly Sean, and Dr. Carey is excellent.

I wasn't expecting my consultation to take 2 hours, but I appreciated that it was thorough. I wish I knew in advance when appointment was made. Also, I was surprised that you do not have a Cancellation list. I called your receptionist quite a few times. It's probably a better use of her time to call patients who want earlier than scheduled appointments. I registered for your patient portal and was disappointed that it did not have a summary of my visit. I will give it some time before checking again.

The pictures, eye measurements, eye test, etc. went well with the assistant. Very thorough, as usual. The 45 minute wait for the doctor to see me after all of the above was very annoying! I know doctors are busy, but that is a long time to sit and wait. My appointment took over 2 hours. I only go once a year, usually, so I try not to complain.

The second cataract procedure went very well at El Camino. Everyone was well-versed in their specialties -- especially Dr. Lally -- and I would receommend anyone to go there. Through no fault of any person, the surgery started seemingly a couple of hours later than scheduled. I was told there were patients with some complications that caused the delay. No one's fault. These people are really pros and made me feel relaxed and comfortable.

Everyone was friendly and I was greeted by name as I came in for my appointment. Dr. Lally is wonderful!

The service has dramatically improved since my last visit. Timely reception and quick turn around for preliminary check up from the technician. Dr. Carey came with only a few minutes of waiting. Much much better than my previous experiences.

My husband and I have both have thought Dr. Hewes is maybe one of if not the best eye doctor around. He is a fine diagnostician. He follows through with calls or letters to our other doctors when planning treatment. He worked hard to remedy my husband's vision as it degraded because of Alzheimer's. I recommend him highly. Through email since I didn't have account with Facebook ,and google , I rarely use.

The initial greeting and testing by office staff handled professionally. Waiting to see Dr. Laly was delayed due to her speaking with someone in admin office. I told her I was annoyed with the delay and she apologized. I did know my appointment was going to be long but I didn’t interface with the doctor until an hour and a half later. This doesn’t help the staff with their direct patient work if the physician doesn’t try to keep the schedule. I almost left the office due to Dr. Laly’s tardiness.

As usual the staff are professional and still interact in a friendly way. This visit before lunch was one of the shortest wait times to see Dr. Hughes. All in all a pleasant experience. Thank you. Mary Webb

The appointment was fine, but I am very difficult to get to dilate so we always use a couple of doses at least, but that makes me suffer for as long as two days afterwards with dry, stinging eyes, I wonder if I ma allergic to the drops, or if there is another type we might try???? I received a phone call at 8:30am from the office to let me know that they needed to change my appointment to another day. I had taken the day off work without pay so I was happy that they found another time that same day for me to come in.

Our first visit and I would give it a 10. The wait was short and we did appreciate that. The staff was great and we felt comfortable with Doctor Carey. Shawn was easy to speak with as he went through the cost and answered our questions about preparing for the procedure etc. Praying it will be a "10" experience throughout this eye surgery and the next.

This was my first appointment with Dr Lally and she was fantastic! Very courteous and friendly, but her caring attitude and knowledge were what made it the best! I had lots of Q's this year and she was thorough and clear with each explanation. I never felt rushed. The other staff were friendly and efficient as always too! The actual service from the eye tech to the ophthalmologist was great. They were professional and they kept the equipment sterilized. The biggest gripe was I waited for 45 minutes (minus 15 minutes as I arrived early to fill out paperwork) before I was actually seen. Multiple patients in the waiting room claimed this long wait time is typical for this office.

The group is always friendly and answers our questions when we have them. The appointment was a little long due to the input of the patient information into the new system. It would have been nice to know ahead of time this could/would occur.

I arriveed on time, then, waited 35 minutes before being seen, I think they should work harder to be on time and as a courtesy let the patient know the approximate wait time.

Dr. Lally was a 5 star but her medical assistant was a 2 star. He didn't seem to know what he was doing which made me uncomfortable. It took him about 30 seconds to measure the pressure in the eye, fumbling with the instrument and repeatedly aiming (hopefully not pressing) against the numb eye. The lower white part of my eye was redden from his manipulation. Luckily, it was fine today.

Using the latest state of the art equipment (fempto laser!) he replaced my cataract lens with an amazing bit of technology- a multi-focal IOL with built in astigmatism correction. First, I have already submitted my 'what we did well' comments. I don't know why you wouldn't have a 'what can be improved' section. What can be improved is this: I am asked to fill out a form that says I must pay for, I'm not sure of the term, a refraction/measurement of new prescription. I have no problem with this or with paying for it and signing an accept/decline statement. I feel that this is a medical decision, not a me decision. the accept/decline form should be to acknowledge patient financial responsibility, not to request an eye exam. This can be a me decision if my vision is bothering me, or it should be made after the eye chart exam that actually tells us if I need a new prescription. As always, I am well-satisfied in the care I receive, but want you to know of this issue, since it's something you should know. Tony Oliver

Dr. Zheng customer service is outstanding, she is detail oriented, explains pretty well your diagnosis, and responds with clarity all your questions or concerns. The front office is helpful and friendly; the only thing that I think they miss was to provide the temporary password to setup my online chart, I was trying to get it done when I realized I need it and the email with the invitation did not have it, I am guessing that the front desk should provided it and maybe they forgot; but overall was a good experience

For years the wait time in the lobby and exam room has been way too long for any business. I've waited as much as an hour. This is not an isolated incident at all. On more than one occasion my wife and I have discussed leaving your practice and going to a different practice because of the long, long waits. I must compliment you this last appointment. The wait wasn't painful as it usually is.

The appointment was on time and the service un-hurried and attentive. I did not feel that Dr. Rutti was hurrying me on in order to get to his next appointment.

Parking was a problem---there weren't any available spots. I had to park in a limited area to let them know I had arrived, and then followed someone back out to the parking garage to take their spot. I was honestly ready to no longer go to Carey Vision because of the rude staff. I gave it one last try and had a good experience this time. The dr was super sweet and the new girl at the counter was more friendly than the other girl who just seems miserable. The lady who helped me with my contacts was nice as well. The other lady.. not so much! Hopefully they are realizing they need a friendlier staff!

The examination with Dr. Carey was excellent! He was willing to spend the time to answer my questions and also carefully checked every details needed to find the problem and the treatment. His expertise showed that he can be trusted to treat you very successfully. Jenny, his assistance was also very patience and pleasant to work with. The only improvement that needed was the waiting time. It would be great if the waiting time was cut shorter of less than one hour.

The staff and Dr Lally are very nice and professional. This was my first appt with Dr Lally and I liked her very much. I did not have to wait long at all to be seen by the Dr's asst. Overall, I had a very nice experience.

It would be better if the appointments weren't scheduled so close because I usually have to wait more than 30 min to see the Dr. even after the tech has checked my vision...there are just too many patients to be seen before I actually see him...I really like Dr. Carey & that is why I still go to that office but being there for an hr. or more is too long when the actual Dr. time is maybe 15 min. I know he is very thorough & does his best for each patient though & there is no idle chit chat because he rushes onto the next patient after leaving me.

I was early and was taken for testing within 5 minutes or so of arrriving. Many tests and then into a room after a reasonable time. Great but that is where things slowed down. It was busy but not overwhelming. I feel the appts are scheduled to close together . Time is not allowed for all the testing and then time with the Dr.

Very detailed examination

Staff is very attentive. MD's are great. All questions were answered, they provided good information, were patient and not in a hurry to move along. The care received was terrific and provided immediately. I needed a laser procedure and it was performed at that initial visit. I have a lot of confidence in your office.
