Excellent service and very thorough

My visit with Cottage Grove Eye Care was reassuring. Dr. Nelson is very professional and the staff friendly.

I was very pleased with my appointment. Everyone in the office was friendly and efficient. Dr. Nelson spent a lot of lot of time explaining my eyes to me and that makes it clear that he truly cares about my optic health. The only thing I would change would be for the OptoMap to be completely covered by insurance. Even though it’s not covered, it’s worth every penny to avoid having to dilate and I like seeing my eye scans.

Dave very comfortable and all I hoped for - primarily personable, kind, professional. I am Happy Dave is up to date on newest things. Staff all professional and lovely people . My recommendations for what would have been more effective for me are that when they first greet a new client they say Hi, my name is Heidi or Katie. I asked them each but I think it is welcoming for them to offer their name. Maybe even a name plate with first name on it for Heidi.Katie did great job and called me by name as I checked in. Impressive. For me as first timer Front door with Dave’s name Could be enhanced with either Dr. before or OD after his name. All small things. 😊Thank you. I feel I am in good hands and hearts. I like how Dr. Nelson explains things in detail. I had no idea I was developing tiny vessels on my cornea-- he said I'm not getting enough oxygen because of the length of time I wear my contacts. Just a simple suggestion of going without them whenever I can was helpful to me. I never feel like he is rushing to get done with the evaluation.

Went well and staff was professional. I did feel that the person who helped with my frame selection and subsequent payment should have excused herself when she left me to consult with others. She did that several times during the session. Just a simple "excuse me I will be right back" would have enhanced the experience. Instead , she abruptly got up and went away, leaving me to wonder what was going on. Else, the appointment was without stress.

Great place, reception is great with customer service. The eye care is excellent. Contacts and glasses are a bit over priced compared to other eye places. ( about 2-3 x more)

Dr. Nelson was very thorough with my son and did a great job explaining the exam results. We also had nice help picking out eye glasses for him.

I left feeling that I had a very thorough eye exam and with the gel of your optician picked out an awesome pair of glasses. I can’t wait to get them. Also, I was able to get an appointment very quickly, the very next business day. It was a pleasure to support a small business in the community rather than a big corporation. Excellent eye care! Dr. Nelson listens carefully to all my issues and finds solutions for each. I have been seeing him for several years, and after he moved to Cottage Grove I decided to drive there even though there are other doctors much closer to where I live.
