My permanent crown had to be sent back for modification. I was supposed to be called last Thursday to reschedule but still haven’t heard from you. I’m going on vacation this Thursday so I’m pretty disappointed.

The staff was friendly and competent. I need to go to a specialist for some additional work that I was hoping could be done by Dr. Woods’ staff. I guess specialization has hit the dental field as it has the medical practices. Apart from that, I am happy to continue with GHDC

Things I liked: Everyone is friendly and updates you as to what they're doing so you know what's going on. I left my last dentist because they told me to get 3 fillings for preemptive protection. I like that GHDC doesn't push things just to make more money, they listen and come up with alternative plans that I'm comfortable with. 2 years later, I still don't need those fillings that the old dentist suggested.

I'm so excited that Dr. Wood took me on as a new patient. First time I walked in the door, I was welcomed with my name on their sign. As I checked in I was welcomed by the receptionist. Then when I was brought in the back I was greeted by everyone in my pathway. Still not knowing what to expect, the very lovely girl told me they needed to get X-rays so Dr Wood could see what was needed and together we could make a plan. I have been to many DDS in my military wife career and have never been treated so kind, so gentle, and so through. I still have a couple more visits with her before the grand finale. Lol I wish I would have gone to her sooner. Have you ever been to a DDS with a comfort menu? Well this ones got it. Lol. Thank you Grand Haven Dental for being so professional and making my visit very comfortable. I will, and already have been recommending you to everyone.

Grand Haven Dental blew my socks off with the very first visit and the 2 visits after that. Totally unexpected every time! I found them online while researching who does the Chao Pinhole procedure. They were kind, gentle, and not afraid to be involved in who I am. They were very informative about their procedures and they checked up on me a few times after I left the office. Who does that?! I live 2 hours away from their office but because they treated me as if I mattered, the trip is nothing and I'd gladly make it as many times as needed. I will definitely recommend Grand Haven Dental for any dental needs!

I thought everyone was very nice and the dentist was very gentle. The only thing that concerned me is when the dentist and the assistant started talking about what was wrong and what had to be done while I am lying there not able to talk. It was concerning me because I had no idea if it was bad or not. It made me anxious. I would suggest explain in layman’s terms what the problem is. Like the assistant did after I was able to talk. When you are talking in dental terms while lying there that is concerning

Everyone was very friendly. I just wish scheduling would be more organized...a lot more organized! I was called twice to reschedule my time on Friday. I got there early to fill out paperwork but I waited for 45 minutes....closer to the time of my original appointment.

My appointment with Dr. Wood was very good. I didn’t feel any pain while she was preparing my tooth for a crown and it was completed in very little time. Dr. Wood saved this tooth a year, I am sure another dentist would not have saved it. She keeps up on all the latest treatments and does an excellent job. Her staff is very nice and then there is Hans. He helps to keep you calm. You can not go wrong with Dr. Wood. She also gives a lot back to the community.

I was immediately meet, and instead of sitting in the waiting area I was shown around the office and the exam rooms. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed. I was given a tour, received the background on the dentist who encourages her staff to keep learning/training as she does herself. After the minimal paperwork I filled out I waited for perhaps 2 minutes before I was escorted back to have my x-rays done, and then my teeth checked to see what could be saved. I explained I am a coward although I work in the medical field. I was told "WE cater to cowards" Perfect! We are a perfect match then. I encourage all newbies or just need a change in dentists to join Grand Haven Dental. The dentist is awesome, she came in to explain what she could do and the condition my mouth was in. I was glad to hear my mouth will not be put out to pasture and she can fix it. This is not like the other dental offices where they are too big and usher patients in like cattle. These people will get to know you and you them. For me being a coward due to a an extremely bad experience many moons ago my blood pressure was 108/78 so that says something there.

As always it was a delight to spend time with Kristy. She did a terrific job with me, she always does. She is careful and thorough. What came as a surprise was at the end of the appointment she swabbed my teeth with a Q-tip dipped in something. "What IS that?" I asked. She told me it was fluoride. Nobody asked me if I wanted a fluoride treatment and this has never been part of my regular cleaning routine. I also just learned that I am getting billed $34.00 for that, as it is not covered. Just sayin' - I think you should ask before doing this.

You ask not to include any personal information, but to me, the experience in the dentist chair is all about personal. To get it out in the open, I'm a true white knuckled patient and always have been in "the" chair so when I was told that I had to get a crown well, I wasn't feeling any fuzzies. Just want to say though that after having this procedure done, that that's changing, thanks to the staff and everyone who worked so diligently on me. They are all very welcoming, caring and gentle and I personally want to thank all of them. I would refer anyone who doesn't like going to the dentist, to try GHDC!

Always nice to feel right at home when coming to the dentist. I arrived today extremely exhausted from a very long day at work. I had no concerns whatsoever regarding the procedure of getting a composite filling. Dr. Woods and Hans were very accommodating and generous in making sure I was comfortable and relaxed. After care, I am pleased with the results and even took the opportunity to get impressions for whitening my teeth. I am proud to call this office my dental home and look forward to continuing my dental relationship with them.

Had such a great experience. Staff was very friendly and took their time explaining things. My only gripe was when I first walked in, the lady at the front desk did not acknowledge me (she was on a call when I walked in) after she was done with her phone call. She went on to make another call as I waited. After the 2nd call, I waited approximately 5 minutes and still no acknowledgement so I decided to get up and ask her what I was supposed to do. This almost made me walk out but I’m glad I didn’t.

The cleaning was great. I really liked the hygenist-- forgot her name-- very chatty which i liked. I did not have a good experience on the phone with the staff person when i called the day before to say I'd either be late or would need to reschedule. I was given a warning about having to pay next time because i didn't give enough warning. That left a very bad taste in my mouth.

My kids loved it there, had plenty to do while waiting, even got there own pads of paper and crayons to play with. The staff was very nice and enjoyable. My kids are asking when they get to go back again and that's rare for a dentist. 10/10 experience for me.

It was great pain wise... but I walked in at 3 and sat with my mouth open for a long long time...... I have anxiety with everything and didn't leave till 515....but the mask/ gas they gave me healed that...My wife loves my smile

I am always surprised at how the staff receive me as a patient. They are pleasant and courteous upon my arrival. I have never had to wait for longer than 5 minutes to be taken back to the room for my appointment. I have recommended GHDC to everyone that asks and now take my grand children to the office.

The only thing I would have liked is to know if anything showed up on the bitewing X-ray you did after you re-glued the crown back on. I'm assuming everything was okay, but I would like to know for sure.

The cleaning was great. I just wish the service was not divided into two separate sessions. Now I have to wait for almost three weeks to clean the other half of the mouth (which is kind of ridiculous), though I understand it is probably due to insurance specific.

Out standing especially catching that small cavity

Sooooooo expensive. I was shocked. I expected the cleaning and x-rays to be around $150, not over $300!!! Ouch!

My visit today really made the best of what isn't anyone's favorite thing to do. But everyone did their best to make it as pleasant as possible.

Front desk workers were very nice and helpful and wanted to accommodate me. Overall it was a good visit. Dr. Wood was kind of intimidating and one of the first things she said to me was that I have cavities, almost rudely, but other than that she was very nice to work with.

Asides from the 8 minute scramble mid-procedure to find a tool necessary to complete the extraction, (drawers and cabinets and all sorts of searching in a frenzy)..... I'd say it was fine.

Grand Haven Dental care amazed me as soon as I walked in their doors.
