I am constantly blown away by the care at hands on. I’ve never felt like I was in the drivers seat of my healthcare before. Hands on is so intentional about holistic, rounded care that is trauma informed. I can’t tell you how much that means to me. Dr.Kim is AMAZING. I feel so lucky to be in her care.

I know there a few new faces in the clinic, yet all of the staff are truly genuine and teary each patient as a welcome guest. I have observed this and I have experienced it personally. This clinic is one of my favourite Portland destinations!

Hands-On medicine, dr. Benson is a great Center 2 receive all of the medical assistants that I need. Very friendly very proactive and a pleasure to work with entire staff.

You certainly did the notifying me of the upcoming appointment well. I counted 5 separate missives gently prodding me to be a responsible client or patient or customer, or pay for not. And each time I come, asking me if anything has changed, my phone number? Address? Anything? This shows real dedication to keeping your records up to date! I’d say you did that well, too. In another framing of this, i’d pipe up about how annoying this becomes, how I start to feel like more a part of your health care machine than a person who comes vulnerable to your door. But that is not what you asked, and anyway, I seem to keep coming, so -

Sharon was very thorough in explaining office procedures and establishing my profile over the phone. Dr. Benson was respectful of my personal health philosophy. Megan was relaxed and very competent when she did my blood draw. April is warm, friendly and kind. A fellow patient shared her positive experience as a patient at Hands On Medicine. The waiting area is comfortable. I enjoy the floral courtyard when I arrive early and wait outside.The vibe is respectful and inclusive. Thank you.

I don’t remember the name of the clinician who checked me in/did vitals but she also did my EKG and she was very efficient, respectful and knowledgeable. Thanks hands on!

I have been seeing Kim Kelsey at hands on medicine for a couple years now. Being a person who deals with a chronic illness, I have been to my fair share of medical professionals and clinics. Kim and Hands on Medicine have by far been one of the most welcoming, compassionate and comfortable clinics I have ever visited. My blood pressure doesn’t lie! It’s always lowest when I visit Kim compared to the specialists that I also see on a regular basis.

Great place with a great doctor!

The doctor was attentive to all details. The doctor and the team worked comfortably together. They all really aim to make the overall experience pleasant. Receptionists were also pleasant, btw, I always feel welcome, and I like the “laid back” vibe, good balance there.

Patient services was kind and helpful, as always, and the medical assistant as well. Kim is an outstanding provider, the best PCP I've had, and her skills are as clear and well grounded as her ability to listen, respect, and validate.

Everyone is kind and efficient but not overly rushed. Kim Kelsey is present, attentive and listens and responds thoughtfully. I always leave with a solution or something to try. Best clinic I have ever visited and I am 63.

Hands down, Hands On is the best medical experience I’ve ever had. I feel seen and cared for as a person rather than a problem to be solved and a paper to file. It is clear the folks here are working on an anti-oppression framework and are intentional about the way they talk with their patients.

Amber is great! I feel very comfortable and safe with her. I liked her sense of humor paired with her no nonesense attitude.

Every visit is pleasant, organized, and informative. I appreciate being seen at my appointed time and meeting with practitioners who offer practical advice to overcome issues. They aren’t quick to write a prescription or get you out of the exam room. They are thoughtful about their recommendations and truly take the time to hear about how you’re doing. A+!
