I would say at a professional level all went well. I did observe that from the store front to the good doctor there a a real push to sell stuff like frames, eyedrops etc. It was a bit much and made me feel uncomfortable as I was not looking to get new glasses or eyedrops.

We were helped very quickly, and the lady who helped us (Elizabeth, I think?) was extremely knowledgeable and very good at sizing up which glasses frames would suit my face. So good, in fact, that we went around the entire East Bay and came back to buy the first pair she handed me.

Very welcoming and professional environment. Had the most thorough eye exam I’ve ever had in my life as the optometrist took her time to explain necessary information, recommend what was needed, examined my eyes, and made me feel comfortable while doing all this. Totally recommend IRIS

Staff were friendly and the optometrist was very informative and friendly. They were very helpful with picking out glasses.

I brought my glasses prescription in from another Optician. I happened to walk by the store and was drawn in by the interesting and unique frames. I chose the frame and submitted my prescription and I picked up the glasses the following week. I needed a progressive lens with anti-glare/UV protection/ the full works essentially. I have had previous glasses from another store which had an ok lens. In comparison, the glasses from Iris seems to have a better quality lens and better progressive gradation. In addition, a cute frame which I have gotten many compliments. I am very pleased with the end product and plan on being a return customer. Thanks Iris!

Iris Eye Center has an excellent staff and customer service. Their optometrists are very thorough and took as much time as needed to make sure I had the right fit and prescription for my transitioning vision as I hit my mid-40’s! Doesn’t hurt that their decor and ambiance is beautiful and spotless. Highly recommended!

Convenient spot on Piedmont Ave. Friendly staff. Nice Optometrist staff. Very thorough; like that they have retinal imaging as an option so that you can also see your eyes and that there is a digital record of changes through time.

I visited Iris eye center to get new prescription for contact lenses. 10min after I finished everything and left, I got a call from Elizabeth with the information that I have credits from my insurance towards contact lenses, and it was not applied to my order. My one year olds glasses arrived quickly and are high quality. The only reason I won't be coming back here is because we're from vallejo and they are in Oakland. The parking is absolutely absurd but that's not their fault. The staff is so friendly and is excellent with our son.

At Iris Optical I received great customer service in the process of having a set of prescription safety glasses made.
