Always a pleasant experience. Most of us dislike going to the dentist. The staff greeting you as you come in sets the tone for an amazing visit. Dr. Sushko is always so kind and polite. He’s very knowledgeable and totally capable of taking care of you. I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else for dental care for me or my family!!!

Of course you did Everything well. A visit to the Friendly Dentist office in Birmingham is more like a reunion with friends than what some folks dread, “a trip to the dentist!”😂. Your office is clean and cozy, with children’s art work and comfortable seating. Nicole and Megan give you a warm welcome, making sure your schedules are organized for return visits. Danielle patiently explains billing issues, no matter how complicated. Dr. Sushko is a true professional; he delivers state of the art dental care which is essential to overall health and wellness. The front desk staff was friendly. The doctor spent a lot of time getting to know me and my medical/dental health before he examined me. He also reviewed my initial paperwork very thoroughly before my visit. The exam was comprehensive compared to previous dentists. His assistant was also very nice. Courtney was great and I felt she did a nice cleaning. It’s nice to know that she will be my hygienist on each visit. The office was clean and the equipment looked new or updated. Best trip to the Dentist I have ever had!

(I tried to review on Google. Link kept taking me to old review from months ago.) Dr. Sushko and staff (Kelly Rae, Danielle & Nicole) took excellent care of me and my teeth at their office on September 19th. Dr. Sushko repaired an area of my mouth that was long overdue for maintenance and a new crown. He carefully made sure I did not experience any discomfort during the long, complicated procedure. Actually it was entirely comfortable and quite pleasant. Dr. Sushko explained each part of the dental work he was doing - with thorough whys and wherefores. I learned a lot! He invited me to be a participant rather than just a person sitting in the chair. I have seen many dentists in my 78 years; Friendly dentist is above and beyond all previous experiences. Thanks all!

Gwen, my longtime reliable hygienist, worked diligently to remove every drop of plaque from my aging teeth. She educated me about how using my new CPAP affects my dental health and how I can take more control over dry mouth accelerating decay. She took extra care to check if I was due for X-rays - and then skillfully administered them to examine any trouble areas. She discussed concerns with the dentist in detail. Dr. Sushko, that Jack of all trades and Master of All, worked out a special treatment plan to accommodate my limited time in Michigan. He is saving my teeth! Danielle caught me up on the good news in her family’s life and straightened out every complicated insurance question. Dr Sushko came very highly recommended by a friend, Lynnette, who works in your office. I was quite apprehensive, scared & embarrassed, since it had been over 10 years since I've seen a dentist. Well needless to say, once I got there & spoke with Dr Sushko, his assistant Kelly, & receptionist Michele....my mind was put at ease. All were very kind & considerate. Dr Sushko was very thorough, knowledgeable compassionate, understanding & honest upon my initial exam. With his concerns & advice on treatments I need, the whole staff got me set up on a series of dental work that I need done. Actually, I'm looking forward to getting started on getting my smile back & not being embarrasse

I can easily recall dental visits when I was school age. They were not pleasant and I dreaded each one. Not so any more. But I'm still waiting for scotch-flavored tooth paste to be used during the final step of a teeth-cleaning appointment.

How can I say anything but good things about treatment that wasn't scheduled but was in immediate response to my concerned telephone call about a chipped crown. And I was in the chair only ten minutes while Dr. Sushko smoothed the rough broken edges. He came through once again when I needed a problem solved. He'll replace the crown when the virus problem is history.

You will not find a better dentist! I’ve been his patient for many years and have nothing but praise for Dr. Sushko and his staff. To begin with I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. My fears of pain during procedures have always been taken seriously and addressed. Whenever I’ve had a potentially painful procedure Dr. Sushko himself calls me the next morning to make sure I’m not having pain. What doctor does that? The whole office staff is kind and supportive and there is very little turnover. I have had the same dental hygienist, Gwen, since I started coming to this practice. She is friendly, knowledgeable and does a great job. I have referred friends and family over the years and they too are impressed with the care they receive.

My hygienist was so wonderful with my 4 1/2 year old, getting his teeth cleaned for the first time. He’d been to a pediatric dentist several times who turned out rude, impatient, and anxiety inducing for little ones. My son wouldn’t even open his mouth last time we went. The hygienist talked him through everything, had the room already set up with cartoons and space to color, and maintained a friendly attitude. He not only opened his mouth but let her clean his teeth - a huge improvement from one month ago. Obviously he’ll continue coming with me on my appointments. And of course I brought him here after several positive visits on my own. Every single person is so nice and friendly. From the receptionists to the dentist. What a great group of people!

Dr.Sushko made me feel so very much at ease , particularly about a health related situation that would affect me when getting work done on my teeth. I think he tries so very hard to comfort his patients both physically and mentally. Not something I have experienced lately ANYWHERE! Well I'm glad to say I have found my dentist and wont be looking elsewhere ever! I have no dental insurance and could go anywhere but I'm not. So my advice would be please give him a chance you will feel the same I guarantee ! Great experience from the start. I was greeted as I walked in and I did not have to sit and wait. Very friendly atmosphere. My first visit with Gwen the hygienist. She was very gentle and took her time. I was very impressed. Would definitely recommend this office to all family and friends!!!

Dr Sushko and his staff provided me with outstanding dental care yesterday. They are a team of helpful individuals who each do their part to make sure it is a flawless successful experience: from scheduling and billing to drilling and filling to adding quarters to the parking meter. Dr. Sushko’s expertise made it possible for him to painlessly prepare my teeth for a crown meanwhile discovering hidden cavities and mending those as well. What a wonderful world it would be if more health professionals delivered care at this level of knowledge, responsibility and control. May Dr. Sushko and staff continue to flourish and prosper.

I'm taking the time to respond because I believe Dr Sushko is a very good dentist and a good man. 1. A filling that I had taken care of, before going to Florida, in February (upper left side), actually broke before I left for Florida. It was not even two weeks old, and the compound failed. 2. A second filling also failed. 3. My wife had a crown done at her dentist, total, out of pocket cost, $650. 4. The temp on my crown, upper right, has come out already. My next appointment is on the 30th. I'll bring the temp with me. I hope you find my response helpful. I have no intention of dhanging to another dentist. See you on the 30th.

You have a "well oiled" machine run office. From paying my bill, making my future reservations, answering my questions, helping me out when I am in dire need of assistance, ie. like chipping my tooth, not leaving me stranded but calling me back like you said you would, and the Medical Staff, is something so great, especially in a Dental Office which is scary to come to in the first place, make your visit feel like they care. NO long waiting time, and "oh, such nice people" They make you enjoy coming to a Dentist.
