I didn't have a local dentist, at the time of my "dental emergency". As luck would have it, I chose Southern Dental to call at 4:30. They fit me in their schedule, the following morning at 9:00 am! My temporary crown came loose on a Thursday night and Dr. Hank Long and his assistant came into the office on a Friday (their day off) to fix it. I was very happy about that as it would have been embarrassing going around for the weekend with a front tooth missing. They went way above for me and I really appreciated it.

I went in for a cleaning but also knew that there was something wrong with one of my molars. Lucky for me my own dentist, Dr. Keith Long, had a cancellation and less than an hour later I left the office and found out later that my molar was cracked and was removed. They are all so professional in that office! We’ve been going there for close to 30 years and have no intention of seeing another dentist!!! Highly recommended!!

Let me start by saying that I hate going to the dentist and have since I was kid due to one bad experience after bad experience. That being said I have had nothing but good experiences going to Southern Smiles. From the awsome girls at the counter checking me in making my appointments reminding me of my appointments to the awsome young lady Lynn who cleans my teeth. They all have a great sense of humor.they are all very personable and funny which makes me feel relaxed. Doctor Long has always provided me with good pain free work. And yes I do tell all my friends about Southern Smiles and how happy I am with you cuz nobody likes going to the dentist but your staff make a much more tolerable experience for sure .

The new requirements for patients with Delta Dental insurance are incredibly inconvenient. I live over an hour away from Lakeport and now I have to wait to recieve a check from my insurance in the mail then I have to bring it in. I would think there is a more practical way to go about this...

Rosie is great. She cares about her patients and goes over the condition of your mouth in detail as well as general health. Very thorough and lets you know what she is doing and why. Cheerful positive attitude. Best hygienist I have ever had.
