I had orthodontic treatment when I was a teenager and it caused severe recession specially on my upper teeth. I didn’t think the recession was that bad, but it turns out my teeth grafting was overdue and it would be a matter of time I would have to do it sooner rather than later. I reached out to Dr. Moshrefi and his team, since I heard a lot of great feedback from family and friends and it was the best decision! From day one, Lorie (Patient Coordinator) was amazing. She was extremely patient, professional and courteous. She’s always willing to go above and beyond her call of duties and makes sure the patient is in good hands. She contacted my insurance company and handled all the administrative and tedious work. Dr. Moshrefi, George (Dental Assistant) and his lovely wife, Dr. Daneshmand made sure I was comfortable from the moment I sat in the chair until the procedure was completed. I am not a big fan of needles at all, but I must say his touch was so light and I didn’t feel anything. After approximately 1 hour, the procedure was completed and the grafting procedure was over. Dr. Moshrefi used a new technique, known as Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF), which doesn’t require skin to removed from my pallet, but rather he drew some blood and mixed it with collagen and reinjected into my gums. I’ve never heard of this process, but I am so grateful I went to see him. This process is less evasive and the downtime is less than the traditional grafting process. The procedure itself was better than I expected and the results were amazing. There was a little discomfort but it was worth it knowing my tissue will be reinforced and will protect my teeth. I am extremely happy with the outcome of the procedure and more importantly I would highly recommend Dr. Moshrefi for anyone looking to perform a gum grafting process.
