I am the founder of Merritt Jones Family Acupuncture – the destination for individuals and families looking to achieve better health and wellness, naturally.My journey into health care was no accident. Many years ago I was very sick, dealing with auto-immune conditions, a wrecked gut and extreme fatigue. Although Western medicine is incredible and helpful for so many things, it proved to be inadequate for the “mysterious” symptoms I was facing – no traditional Western doctor could figure out exactly what was going on with me, or how to help me get better.It was only after building a team of integrative providers that I began to feel well again. Truly a long and at some points arduous journey, I’ve come to be grateful for the experiences, frustrations and successes I’ve had – I’ve learned much along the way. I find that having walked the path of managing challenging health conditions helps me understand where some of the people I work with are coming from. Better health and wellness is possible, and will look unique according to what you’re working with. It’s not always easy, but it can be done!About a year into my recovery, I decided to go to graduate school – I set out on a mission to get well and help others do the same. I am thrilled to say that today, I am strong, healthy, happy and utterly in love with my career. Helping others feel great again is the best job I could have ever asked for.
