I absolutely enjoyed my visit,I’ve been having terrible experiences in the past, my daughter was assign to a dental clinic on midtown Manhattan I went twice horrible service the first time the dentist who took care of my daughter was so nasty, I literally almost cry. So I promise to go back there again. getting this nice dental place for my little girl with special needs is everything to me. Every one was so kind and patience with her, they took their time to calm her down, she love balloons so they got her one, I mean I can go on and on all day. They were very kind and nice to me. I had good experience there and I recommend it. For the children that go there, after the appointment, they give these tokens which can be used for getting prizes from machines. Prizes like pretty rings, bouncy balls, puzzles, erasers, sticky skeletons, and more fun things! They give the tokens for free. Or, you can just put a quarter in there, but the tokens are better to me. They are also very generous. At the end of the appointment at the Open Bright Dental, they give toothpaste, timers for brushing, electric toothbrushes, and more dental things for free!

Dr Leslie was friendly and helpful and good with my kids. I did feel the advice not to eat a lot of crunchy snack to avoid cavities (even not only sugary products) was not realistic. I was surprised by this info. I was told to ty cheese even though she didn’t realize my kids are dairy free. We also limit juice and processed sugars. My son had a cavity anyway, despite brushing twice a day (with my help) and flossing everyday before bed... but I felt the advice not realistic or “supportive”. Just a minor piece of feedback. Oeverall our visit was pleasant as usual.

Our wait time was short - we saw the doctor after 5 minutes of arriving in office. Both the dentist and the dental hygienist were friendly, answered all questions and gave many useful tips. My son cried but both the dentist and the DH were patient and understanding. The office is nice and clean and very kid-friendly.

I took my 3.5 year old son and my 2 year old daughter here for a cleaning and had a really wonderful experience. My son had been to a different dentist last year and was terrified and cried so much they couldn't even do a cleaning. My favorite thing was that when the hygienist brought us back she talked to my kids for about 5 minutes before she even put them in the chair. She shows them each tool she would use on their teeth and demonstrated it on their hand (this is a little toothbrush it vibrates, see the noise it makes? Do you feel it on your hand? This little hook is how I will count your teeth, lets practice counting your fingers...etc) My daughter went first and got to pick a pair of sunglasses and then laid back. I held her hand and the hygienist went quickly and was so kind and explained everything. Then my son took a turn a didn't cry at all. Dr Laurie came to check out their teeth and talked to me about dental hygiene. Both kids got a coin and got to put it in a little machine in the lobby and get a prize. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience. Considering how difficult it was to find someone who took my insurance I didn't expect great quality but my expectations were exceeded.

My children are always greeted and feel safe visiting the dentist at your office. We appreciate the hospitality after coming for 3 years already.

My husband accompanies our children, but I am glad for the chance to offer feedback because I am very frustrated with the things you send home in the bag. I understand a plastic tooth brush is probably unavoidable, but the plastic, single use dental flossers are an unnecessary contribution to the pollution of our oceans/global ecosystem and inculcate an ethic of consumerist irresponsibility in my children that we are working hard to counter. More importantly, the hyper gendered and sexualized My Little Pony stickers my 2 year old daughter brought back really upset me. We can draw a direct line between the sexualization of children's toys and the rape culture and patriarchal violence that engulfs us. I'd appreciate it if you would just tend to my children's dental health and not contribute to their socialization into imperialist capitalist patriarchy.
