Not a fan of dental work but was pleased with experience

For many years, I have wanted implants. A friend was treated by Dr. Valadez and recommended him. Even though quite a distance from me, after the initial consultation I was favorably impressed by Dr. Valadez and his staff, and decided to proceed. Everything has gone smoothly. The front desk and office staff, the assistants, Dr. Valadez and associates provided consistently great service and treatment. The process was completed this week and I’m delighted with my new teeth. I no longer have to worry that my teeth will come unglued in the middle of a meal and I can eat foods I haven’t been able to enjoy in years. What a fabulous difference! A HUGE THANK YOU to Dr. Valadez and team. Off to bite into an apple now. 😊

I practiced Dental Hygiene full time from 1986 until 2010, during which, I worked a combination of full & part time, as well as, many temporary positions. I also taught Dental Hygiene in Chicago, IL. I held a very high standard for myself, those I worked with and my students. It's very difficult to make a good impression on me. I was impressed. I walked in the door and was greeted immediately with a warm smile and handed the tablet to fill out my forms. I was seen on time and all the procedures to be performed were explained in professional but laymen's terms that where easy to understand. Everyone exhibited genuine care and concern, with professionalism and a great regard for a personal touch. From the front office to the clinical staff, Dr. Ivy and the treatment planners, my experience was nothing but positive. My dental and personal needs and concerns were taken seriously and with compassion. Your use and knowledge of the technology available was very impressive and made treatment planning easy, fast and effective. Overall, the office appears to be a cohesive, smmoth operating team. However, I am highly aware of the immense committment and effort that is required by everyone to make it so. I had all but lost hope in my profession, so I thank you for restoring it. I’m not even sure if the names of the two AMAZING Dental Super Professionals that helped me yesterday. I believe it was Dr. Refkin. Well, my front tooth chipped a small chunk off. They got my in the next day, as no rush visit was needed. He filed it down and I was in and out in less than 13 minutes. Then they sent me straight out the door. No stop at the payment desk. I’ve been going here for 15 years at least, and they are all TERRIFIC!

I was taken in right on time and explained the issue I had. The denture was immediately sent back to the lab with an estimate of 1 hour to repair. The repair actually took 1/2 hour which was a very pleasant surprise! Excellent work and very considerate technicians!

That was the best cleaning I've ever had. I am getting over a serious illness and I didn't always take care of my dental hygiene when I was at my sickest, so I thought my teeth would be in a deplorable state and I kept putting off the cleaning. But when I went in the hygienist and the dentist were very kind and very efficient and professional. I don't think I've ever had cleaner teeth and I left feeling immensely relieved that my teeth weren't going to fall out my head and a determination to take better care of my teeth.

After some extensive research on implants in North County San Diego, I was referred to Dr. Valadez by a good friend, Dale Pinkert, who is an existing implants patient. When I arrived at the office for an initial consultation, I found the staff to be friendly and professional and the office well organized. I arrived early to complete paperwork and was examined immediately after. I was given a 3D scan, then met Dr. Valadez and was impressed with his expertise and manner. After putting me at ease regarding the treatment, I was eager to proceed with the implants treatment recommended. Thank you!

Lara is ALWAYS amazing! She does a thorough cleaning, making sure to get the stubborn areas. She makes me feel like she really cares about the health of my teeth, and takes pride in her work. She took x-rays and I asked her if she could see any issues with my lower front teeth (#24 & #25, I believe). She took the time to look at them and said she didn't see any problems, but would have Dr. Refkin take a look. When he did his exam - it was just a quick look - he said the cracks in the #25 were of no concern. BUT - HE DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT THE X-RAYS!! I was quite disappointed. When I checked out, I asked about insurance information and was given a couple estimates on out-of-pocket expenses for certain procedures. She is always pleasant and helpful.

The work itself is outstanding. The only issue I have is that the entire process for the implants was not explained, the first step was to put the anchors in, there was a second step to expose the anchors, and I am guessing that there will be two more steps - impressions and installation. However it is only a guess, no one has ever told me. Would have been nice to have had the entire process laid out.

Excellent cleaning with my hygienist. She took my upper denture to fix the crack but the following day the same crack noted on the same location. Need another appointment to fix again.

Prime when you walk in the door lady checks you in she always has a big smile and you're in and out of there within a half hour depending on what your having done that you're always seemed very fast you're never waiting in the waiting room and everybody in there is very happy and I just like going there very much and the dentist are awesome

Making me comfortable and a lap blanket was perfect touch. Being able to take some photos during and shown afterward, was a great way to explain the procedure of my first inplant. Extra touch was the temporary filling put in #3 to stop the food that was getting there; giving me relief from debris until the root canal in two weeks, NICE. Watching my daughter while there put me at ease. As everyone was very attentive to my needs made my visit pleasant. Thank you.

In spite my age (70) I am a rare guest in dentistry clinics. It was my first visit to the NewDaySmile clinic. The registration process was fast and the doctor paid attention to me in next 10 minutes. The office looks very clean and you can hardly expect an infection under the surgery. The Lab equipment was very impressive. Many procedures were computerized and you can watch your future treatment in 3D dimensions. Here is a team of high professionals working under high standards. I was explained the options I had with all pros and contras. After second opinion I expect to proceed further with my treatment here.

For the longest time I resisted going to the dentist. I needed implants and had talked to other dentist but price, procedure, and trust was not established. My search ended when I entered the office of New Day Smile. Immediately I felt secure as the staff welcomed me. Their attentiveness overwhelmed me and with each procedure I was tuned into the professional manner which they approach their patients. I hadn't even met Dr. Javier Valadez yet. Then Dr. Valadez entered, very professional and genuine as we discussed my needs. He explained all the options to me and then together we chose the procedure that satisfies my needs. (I was needy). New Day Smile is fabulous. No one really wants to go to the dentist especially to get dentures and implant but when I went in Dr Reftkin and Rebecca went out of there way to put me at ease. My appointment was 9:00 am I waited only about 10minutes.Then I called back for days. Then I was taken to a exam room for more days. And then waited about another ten minutes till the Dr. came in. He showed me my options and then. He left. I spoke with your case manager about financing. And then I left. Your staff is very professional and courteous good job.

It was nice to finally have a dentist listen to what I wanted, rather than tell me what they were going to do. My only complaint is that they accept only insurance that is PPO, so I wasn't able to use both of my insurance coverages. Other than that, I would recommend this dental office. I was surprised that their equipment is a little outdated, but it worked well.

Hello. I really enjoyed my visit, and loved Dr. Valdez and the whole staff there. But the only problem is the pricing is just way too high! I researched the 4 on the floor implants with several places, and a full set average cost is 13K low to 23K max. At 40K, you are triple the low and almost double the high average. That's a huge disparity, quite obviously. So thank you for a wonderful visit. Debbie and I both enjoyed the experience there very much.☺️

Lara was very careful as my lower gum was very sensitive . My mouth felt much better when I left than it did when I sat in her chair.

Everything was great. Jewel's cleaning was the best. Wonderful explanation of x-rays by Dr. Valedez, and a very friendly staff who all greet me with a genuine welcome. Question: Because I have mitral valve prolapse, I used to take an antibiotic before every dental visit, but the rules changed several years ago and I was told meds were no longer necessary. I'm wondering if meds are still not needed or if the rules changed again. Thanks.

Our experience with Dr. Valadez was outstanding. Not only was he very thorough in explaining my father’s treatment plan but made him less anxious as he explained to him why he was at Dr. Valadez’s office instead of his regular dentist. It was so reassuring that Dr. Valadez cared about his aging patients that needed his expertise in dental care. Jewell, his dental hygienists shared with me information on what an electric toothbrush does compared to a regular one. She has convinced me and I am now ready to purchase one. I highly recommend Dr. Valadez to anyone that is in question on which dentist to call. By the way, he has a great set up and a great personality.

My whole life I have had bad dental experiences which led me to be very phobic of going to the dentist. I stayed away for years which led to more dental problems. For the first time in my life I actually don't mind going to the dentist.
