I was told prior to my appointment for contact that my copay would be $10.00. I made my appointment for contacts not glasses. I was given prescriptions for both and my copay was more than $10.00. After my exam iwas given contacts to wear but never went back in to the exam room to see if I could read the chart.

On December 13 I had a very positive experience for a routine eye exam at Orbit Eyecare in Los Alamos NM. My appointment was on time and Rebecca, Dr. Carlisle, and the eyeglasses technician were all cheerful, highly professional, and gave me a thorough, unrushed exam. They made suggestions on how best to meet my Rx needs cost effectively including new daily wear glasses and prescription safety glasses. I will certainly be back again.

Even though the office was busy, Dr. Carlisle took his time with each patient. Detail oriented doctor. David started each new patient out with eye test equipment. I never felt rushed along. Rebecca was welcoming. Shawn helped us with eyeglass options. Overall a very pleasant experience.

We are looked after quite well due to some eye problems. We like the doctors at Orbit and how they keep track of our aging eye problems. They always remember us from each visit which is nice. We feel quite comfortable with them.

The only thing that I disliked about my visit is the sales approach for glasses. I prefer to shop for frames without help and to take my time. Having someone try to help me made me feel rushed and pressured into making a quick decision. I had a specific style in mind and wasn't looking for help narrowing my choices down. I didn't choose any frames this time but will shop again at my follow up appointment. Other than that I had a great experience and would recommend your office to a friend.

I had great medical service but the billing system is abysmal. Two years in s row I get a bill nearly a year after service and sating the payment was more than 120 days late. Some discount should be given for poor billing.
